It was a momentous day in the world of White Brothers as we welcomed the Prime Minister, David Cameron to our offices in Witney. As a growing business in his constituency Mr Cameron was keen to accept our invitation for the visit and was very interested in the work we do supplying products and services to the charity retail sector.
After a valuable meeting with the owners of the business, Matthew Keates and Bruce Rolls, along with valued customer Alison Whittingham from the ExtraCare Charitable Trust, Mr Cameron was introduced to the rest of the White Brothers team along with a number of customers and the Charity Retail Association (CRA).
White Brothers have won the CRA’s award for Most Supportive Supplier to the charity retail sector for the last two years and the Prime Minister was happy to present the award to the extended White Brothers team as a thank you for their efforts and valued contribution towards the accolade.
It was also a chance for White Brothers to thank the customers who had nominated them for the award, including Helen & Douglas House, St Barnabas Hospice, CLIC Sargent and ExtraCare Charitable Trust.
Matthew & Bruce were delighted to have the opportunity to thank the team and their customers in such a memorable way and very grateful to the Prime Minister for taking the time to visit.
After the event Mr Cameron provided the following quote:
“I was delighted to visit White Brothers in my constituency and to present them with the award for “Most Supportive Supplier” from the Charity Retail Association. White Brothers is a fantastic example of business working to support our charities to the advantage of both sectors. I know how much hard work has been put in by all the staff and it is great to see the rewards of these efforts.”
